The Mozambican-German Cultural Center (CCMA)/Goethe-Center Maputo, is a Mozambican cultural association, created in 2017 in Maputo City, with the aim of promoting, encouraging and favoring 1. The learning of the German language and Xichangana, 2. The exchange between Mozambique, Germany and more countries as well as 3. Cooperation with other cultural centers and other similar institutions in Mozambique and abroad. CCMA is official cooperation partner of the Goethe-Institute and part of its network in sub-Saharan Africa. The Goethe-Institute is the German state institution for the promotion of the German language and culture globally, with institutes and centers all over the world.
Promote the German as well as Mozambican language(s) and culture(s) and Mozambican-German exchange.
Contribute to the development of the cultural-creative sector in Mozambique by opening up opportunities for training and also actively implementing what has been learned, especially for young professionals, and offering quality cultural events to the general public.
Creating a pleasant learning environment for the German language and supporting students in their search for opportunities (Au Pair, Volunteering and language preparation for studying or working in Germany).
Based on the principle of cooperation in aspirit of partnership, collaborating with artists, cultural professionals, partners and collaborators promoting educational, artistic and philanthropic activities in the most diverse cultural areas.
